This website is about bicycle tours in Asia. This time I start in Kolkata (former Calcutta) in India at it will commence on October 12th 2011 and ends 5th of April 2012. I like it when you're following me, and occasionally jump on my porter to see what's on the road to experience. I take my notebook with me everywhere and can write my stories ticking on the move. Once I have a working WiFi connection I will put the the story online.images/fietsstuur.jpg

The route is not completely clear. Roughly it will go from Kolkata to the North East of India, to the balloon above Bangladesh and I would like to visit Bangladesh as well but that will be difficult as I'm only allowed to re enter India after 2 months. Strange but that is what it is. I try not to make a travel story and I will not describe what you can see. That you can read in any travel guide. This website is about what I experience, what I noticed and what makes it fun to undertake such a trip.

Occasionally I will give some practical tips for people who ever want to undertake such a trip and not yet dared or were able to take this step. Maybe too challenging for many people but believe me, even on the bike pedalling through Asia will eventually become a habit. Also, I am always open to questions and comments from everyone so feel free to email me or write something in my guestbook . Put this site to your favorites and log in once every few days, only then you travel along. For people who are now in effect get a feeling for a bicycle adventure but you do not have the time or the patience to organize it yourself, check out the website of Global Cyclist: www.globalcyclist.nl. You will find individual and group travel.images/bij_homepage.jpg
